Pharos Gear Technology Ltd provides a full engineering support service to the gear manufacturing industry.

Representing many European manufacturers, we can provide machine tools, consumable tooling, machine servicing and technical manufacturing support to a range of industries.

Whilst the majority of our UK business is automotive and aerospace gear related, the range of capability in both machine tool and consumable tool supply is broad; from small workpiece diameter, low module gears (2mm diameter, 0.2mm module) for the medical and micro instrument industries through to heavy industry applications (2m diameter, 25mm module).

We represent a number of companies that design, manufacture and service machines and tools across the world; these companies include Samputensili, Star, Konig, and Walter amongst others.

Our specialist areas include:

Machine Tools & Workholding – for all gear manufacturing applications including hobbing, grinding (Profile & Generative), chamfer & deburring, shaping, shaving and sharpening. For tool or component workholding we offer hydraulic expanding mandrels, arbors, & fixtures supplied through Konig a well establish market leader.

New Tools – a wide range of tools can be offered using a variety of materials and coatings. (See separate section)

Tool Servicing & Coating – Re-grind, re-furbish, & modification, based out of our Coventry facility. (See separate section)

Tool Management & Machine Service – offer expertise in tool life management including full CMS contracts.
